The Bir El-Ghaba spring is still preserved and boasts water with a high sulphur content, reputed to treat a variety of illnesses.
In the heart of a eucalyptus plantation, one enjoys bathing in the spring of Bir El-Ghaba, which means "the well of the forest". Highly charged in sulphur, its waters have a temperature of 26°C and are renowned for treating rheumatism, arthrosis, muscular fatigue and eczema. A natural spa, the spring is located 18 km north of Bawiti, it is still preserved from the influx of tourists. Note that the spring is one of the least hot in the oasis: El-Bishmu is 30 °C and Bir El-Ramla is 45 °C!
