SAINT-PARDOUX CHURCH
Church with a Romanesque base, nicknamed the little cathedral of the fields at La Tour-d'Auvergne.
Listed as a historic monument, the church has a Romanesque base dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. In the 13th century, an edifice was built over the Romanesque bases. In the following century, keystones with figures and plant motifs were added. Two side chapels were also built in the 15th century, and further improvements were made over the years. Note the atypical architectural composition: the church is not built as a cross and faces north, not east. Guided tours are available throughout the summer.
