MAISON FERDINAND DE LESSEPS
Villa by Ferdinand de Lesseps at the corner of rue Ahmed Orabi and rue Salah Salem, now owned by the Egyptian state.
Located at the corner of Ahmed Orabi and Salah Salem streets, you will only see Ferdinand de Lesseps' villa from the outside. And it is a very pretty residence surrounded by green gardens in which lies a former coach of the Vice-Consul. Like all the property of the Suez Canal Company, it now belongs to the Egyptian state. There is no commemorative plaque indicating who owns the building. A project to turn it into a museum has been in the pipeline for many years.
