Gourmet or not, a visit to this Syrian patisserie is a must. We suggest you drop in before you leave to pick up a few Oriental-scented sweets. The choice here is immense. Oriental pastries with evocative names: kounafas (with vermicelli dough), semolina-based basboussas, baklawas, but also huge cakes full of cream, covered with colorful fruit and wrapped in brightly colored ribbons, petits-fours and stuffed sweets... Also ice creams. Yum!
