Started by the Israelis during the occupation, the Sainte-Catherine Tourist Village, also called Wadi Raha, is a 4-star hotel made up of bungalows, scattered here and there over a large area, with absolute comfort and very well kept. Sadat occupied chalet n° 1 during his visits (now occupied by workers) and François Mitterrand occupied chalet n° 50 (three visits, always for Christmas). The leader of Oman, Sultan Qaboos, also stayed there once.
