7 PORTES
Restaurant located under the Pòrtics d'en Xifré in Barcelona offering traditional Catalan cuisine.
Inaugurated in 1836, 7 Portes is Barcelona's oldest restaurant. Located under the Pòrtics d'en Xifré, it was the first building to benefit from running water in Barcelona, and is featured in the first photograph taken in Spain. In this emblematic place, you can enjoy traditional Catalan cuisine and the delicious paella Parellada. Inside, small plaques indicate the favourite tables of the many celebrities who have frequented the place, including Orson Welles, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso and Maria Callas

one was used to us in a private room, they were really nice.
the setting is good, the friendly service and very good meal (menu €48 wines are included) to recommend (and freshen up)
A remarkable " " Zarzuela; a €34 spécialié there with the Catalan " Botifarra con judias " (sausage and beans) €9. A simple menu but complete, fresh ingredients and wines within all budgets.
Around €30 to €30 including wine.
