LA COVA FUMADA
An authentic bodega, home to regulars at the time of the vermouth. A Barceloneta classic for its popular cuisine.
La Cova Fumada is a confidential address, frequented by regulars. Although the opening hours don't make it easy to visit, this little neighborhood bar is a must in the Barceloneta. According to the owners, it was their grandmother Maria Pla who invented the recipe for the bomba, a large potato ball filled with meat, and a Barceloneta classic. The rest of the (short) menu is just as good, prepared before your very eyes in the kitchen that opens onto the dining room. A place full of authenticity.
