La ubicación del hotel es inmejorable, perfecta para recorrer todos los sitios de interés de la ciudad a pie. Las instalaciones y el delicioso desayuno, también son excelentes. Sin embargo, si tengo que destacar algo en particular, me inclino por la atención de todo el personal, que fue excepcional. Estoy embarazada y cuando se enteraron nos enviaron a la habitación una atención que nos hizo emocionar (una canasta llena de frutas, un chupete, un cartel de “en hora buena” y unas copas para brindar). Y en el desayuno, Vanesa, una de las chicas, se ocupó cada mañana para que todo fuera perfecto con su atención y simpatía. Suuuuuper recomendable!!!

Przestronne mieszkanie, z wygodnym łóżkiem w sypialni, a także czystą i nowoczesną łazienką.

Pyszne i obfite śniadanie, które jest atutem noclegu, zasługuje na szczególne wyróżnienie w recenzji tego miejsca.

Kolejnym atutem hotelu jest restauracja, oferująca wyśmienite jedzenie.

Obsługa zasługuje na pochwałę, ponieważ jest miła i sprawna.

Nocleg w cenie adekwatnej do jego standardu i ofert.

Chętnie zdecydowałbym się tutaj jeszcze raz zatrzymać, gdybym ponownie odwiedził to miasto, i chętnie polecam to zakwaterowanie wszystkim, którzy szukają eleganckiego noclegu w Barcelonie ;)

We arrived in Barcelona on a miserable, dull, windy and rainy afternoon. We walked into the hotel and were greeted with a big smile welcome at the reception which cheered us up. We were checked in swiftly and showed to our room. To our surprise, we were upgraded to one of their suite as they were fully booked on the room which we originally booked. It was very spacious, super clean and very comfortable with all the necessary facilities, which made us home, away from home. It had a lovely balcony and an outdoor private swimming pool which unfortunately we could not take advantage of as it was too cold. Ana and her team at the restaurant were very welcoming and accommodating. However; breakfast was a bit of a let-down. There were plenty of choices of fresh fruits, cheeses and sliced cure meats but if you love a nice cooked, hot breakfast you would be disappointed; just couple of small pots of baked beans, sausages and Luke warm scrambled eggs, not what I was expecting from 1898!

Beautiful hotel that is very well located, very clean with an amazing staff that went out of their way to make sure every aspect of our stay was 5 star, now we don’t want to leave. Note, if sensitive to noise ask for a room away from the main street.

We hebben echt een geweldige tijd gehad in dit hotel! Geweldige service, goede cocktails, schitterende locatie in barcelona, heel erg nette hotelkamers en badkamer en een heel mooi dakterras. Het barpersoneel staat ook open voor een leuk praatje wat erg gezellig is!
Kortom alle vakjes zijn ruimschoots afgevinkt. Een excellent hotel!

מלון נעים מאוד.
ארוחת בוקר ברמה סבירה (היה חסר יחסית למלון ברמה כזו).
החדר טוב אבל עם וילון שסוגר חלקית ולכן הרבה אור נכנס בבוקר. בנוסף, החדר המשודרג הינו פינתי וסובלים מראש בשעות הבוקר.

Durante Semana Santa, mis padres vinieron a visitarme en Barcelona. Se alojaron en el Hotel 1898 y estuvieron muy contentos con el hotel, el equipo, el servicio y la comida. Me contaron que el personal siempre estaban dispuestos a cumplir cualquier de sus necesidades con amabilidad. Además, me contaron que el desayuno estuvo exquisito. Recomendamos el Hotel 1898.

My wife and I spent 5 nights here. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Barcelona. Staff is amazing. The room was large and very clean. Location is just absolutely fantastic, within walkable distance to everything. We very much enjoyed the roof top and the daily afternoon tea time as well as the free live music. Overall an amazing experience.

The Hotel 1898 is a nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, helpful and hospitable service, an ideal central location and really good amenities, but do be aware that there may be some issues with expected services (wifi and tv) and the listed amenities may be misleading (pools were closed, not noted in listing).

My partner and I had a wonderful stay, with some caveats. We were at the hotel for one evening between the côte d’azure and Madrid. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was clean and well presented. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot and stayed hot. We ordered a cheese board with room service which was tasty and surprisingly inexpensive. The only issues in the room were that the wifi was practically non-functional (not a problem because we could use data) and also the television was used for tv and the hotel information, but none of the actual tv channels functioned. I was hoping to find a Fútbol game I was trying to watch but all of the channels gave me a “weak signal or disconnected” error message so I ended up just streaming the game on my phone with data. Not a big deal but a bit disappointing for this level of hotel. My partner and I also really enjoyed the spa area. We didn’t book any experiences, we simple used the sauna and steam room. However, I partially booked this hotel because of the impressive rooftop and cavernous indoor pools but neither were available due to a drought. I understand that the hotel has no control over this, it was a government decree, but, it would be nice if they updated their listings to reflect this as that is a major selling point and was part of the reason I was willing to pay a 4 star rate. Overall, it was a fun evening and we checked out the rooftop bar (which I would definitely recommend) the next day when we picked up our bags on the way to the train. That being said, not having the pool, wifi, and tv may turn some people off just given the price you are paying.

Acabamos de pasar 4 días en este magnífico hotel 1898. El servicio y personal de lo mejor! Hicieron nuestra estadía inolvidable. El hotel está sumamente bien ubicado. Pasos a Las Ramblas, tiendas y restaurantes. Las habitaciones muy cómodas, camas excelentes y buen personal de housekeeping que se encargan que no falte nada. El desayuno es completo con muchas variedades de platos, jugos y pasteles. Los comedores son excelentes. El hotel tiene una historia interesante y lo mantienen de primera clase. Nos encantó nuestra estadía y esperamos volver en el futuro. Le damos la más alta recomendación!!

Superb location, great access to walk to all the great sites to see and cafes/restaurants to eat in. Friendly helpful staff especially the bar and restaurant staff (we ate in the hotel restaurant twice). The bedroom is a great size, with an extremely comfortable bed, fridge, hairdryer and kept clean with great furnishings in keeping with the whole hotel. We stayed from Saturday 23 to Friday 29 March in a room on the 4th floor. The hotel has great sound proofing from the outside hustle and bustle and guests aren't too noisy down the corridors. We could feel the trains underground. There is a wonderful view from the rooftop and normally there would be another restaurant but it was closed, however you could order drinks. NOTE: the pool on the rooftop and in the spa area are currently closed due to a government request to preserve water. This doesn't just impact the hotel - it's all over Barcelona! You'll signs everywhere explaining why water fountains / features are currently empty. You can use the sauna and steam room for 30 minutes that needs to be pre-booked and there is a gym for use - we didn't end up using either there was too much to do. There is also in the Reception area between 16:00 and 18:00 an opportunity to have tea, coffee, biscuits and sandwiches. We only did this once as there is a very strong flora smell in the Reception area which I personally found quite overpowering for my senses. Overall a beautiful hotel which we enjoyed staying in. Thank you very much.

A really wonderful experience. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece! Wonderful designed and impeccably decorated. Our room was lovely--one of the comfiest beds I've experienced in a hotel in a long time. But most of all--the staff was gracious, kind, friendly, and welcoming. We will definitely return!

I have just come back from a wonderful stay with my partner at Hotel 1898. A beautiful hotel and wonderful staff, in particular those at reception, who worked hard to make the stay truly special. We had a beautiful room. I loved the facilities in the hotel and the overall decor had a real touch of class. The location is fabulous. Very much recommend this hotel.

Great experience. The hotel is in a great location. The breakfast is great. Worth the addition for convenience as well as quality. They also have live music in the bar area most nights. Something that was also nice - they do indeed have air conditioning in the room! Some hotels say they do but will turn it off during different seasons, but Hotel 1898 keeps it on for you to control. Will be coming back here in the future.

Large room with beautiful view of La Rambla. Wi-Fi on TV blocked. Underground train is too close to the surface, so you can hear the noise and feel the vibration every time one goes by.
Rooftop bar only open 12 to 5, very poorly laid out. Access to bar was blocked due to work being carried out, so couldn't enjoy drink there. Disappointing. Bar inside hotel is nice, but expensive. Both swimming pools were closed due to restrictions.
Good access to central Barcelona. Tourist tax way too expensive at €4.90 per person per night. This along with the high prices to get into any museum or monument are making Barcelona too expensive to visit. Also had to leave a €150 deposit when checking in. This is the first time I have been asked to do so.

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff in a perfect location.
Took my wife here for her 40th birthday and the hotel left complimentary bottle of cava, balloons and cake on arrival was very greatly appreciated.
Their is a lovely rooftop bar for relaxing on looking over the city.
Would like to return one day.

A stunning hotel with great value and in the perfect location to explore Barcelona. Everyone at the front desk was incredibly nice and helpful. We cannot wait to come back.

Belle le camere anche se le avrei dotate di doccia e non solo della vasca da bagno. Bellissimi gli spazi comuni e gli arredi in stile coloniale.
Gentilissimo è lo staff alla reception con personale che parla perfettamente italiano, a tale proposito avendo soggiornato anche in altri hotel in Barcellona è uno dei pochi in grado di offrire anche questo servizio.
Ottima la colazione servita in una confortevole sala ristorante.

Staying at Hotel 1898 has been nothing short of magical from the moment we arrived. The facilities are beautiful and steeped in history. The rooms are extremely comfortable and pleasant. And above all, the highlight has been the exceptional service from the staff. Each one of them treated us wonderfully, and we are incredibly grateful. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at this hotel without hesitation. I look forward to returning on another occasion soon!

Das Hotel ist einfach uniq.

Alleine aufgrund der Vergangenheit & der Historie des Gebäudes
( Philippinisches Tabak & Handelshaus im Kolonialstil ) spürt man beim Betreten den speziellen Charakter der Vergangenheit.

Die großen und hohen Räume, kombiniert mit dem tollen Interieur, versetzen einen in die Vergangenheit dieser Tage ( wenn auch in der heutigen modernen... :-).

Trotz der direkten Lage an der Ramblas, nimmt man im Hotel davon wenig wahr.

Der Service & die Freundlichkeit vom gesamten Personal ist einzigartig und stets angenehm.

Restaurant und Frühstück konnte ich erneut aufgrund geschäftlicher Termine nicht in Anspruch nehmen, daher keine Bewertung.

Leider war aufgrund von Umbau arbeiten die Dachterrasse nur bedingt benutzbar ( Cafe mit Snacks und Tapas ist geschlossen...) und beide Pools aufgrund von Wassermangel in Barcelona geschlossen.

Ich hoffe beim nächsten Mal stehen diese weiteren Annehmlichkeiten wieder zur Verfügung.

Denn ich komme wieder... :)

L' Hôtel est situé à quelques pas de la Sagrada Familia. La chambre est grande et opérationnelle. La terrasse est superbe. Le petit déjeuner est composé de produits frais, il est délicieux.

We stayed 3 nights in this magnificent hotel and very well. I recommend it. The rooftop pool is sublime with beautiful views. The rooms are spacieuces and quiet what is rare because near " las ramblas". You can get there with your eyes closed...

Le sublime very contemporary style, ideally located in the heart of la rambla, without the inconveniences of the noise from the outside. The assets are numerous: a spa with indoor fun pool heated (included in the price of the room), heated outdoor pool on the roof of the hotel, an incredible bar on the terrace and a small - lunch - delicious buffet!

Small hotel that is not bad, well located on the rambla between place catalunya and the Olympic port.
