On Pau Claris, one of the arterial roads leading down to the paseo maritim, a little before you get there, you'll find yourself in one of Barcelona's institutions, dedicated to books (but not only), which you can visit at any time of day, from breakfast to late afternoon. Here, you can have a drink, read the paper with your back to the bar, meet people, chat and work. There are two large interior spaces on the second floor and a delightful little terrace outside.
