Barcelona's Ramblas are an emblematic avenue of the city, often the first place tourists visit. This lively pedestrian promenade runs for around 1.2 km through the heart of Barcelona, linking Port Vell in the south to Plaça Catalunya in the north. The Ramblas is also known for its attractions, such as the Wax Museum, the Museum of Erotica, the monument to Christopher Columbus and the Boqueria market. However, it's important to remain vigilant due to the presence of pickpockets and fake artists.
