288 m high telecommunication tower with an observatory equipped with a powerful telescope and a panoramic platform
This huge steel needle perched on the Turó de la Vilana was designed by the American architect Norman Foster for the 1992 Olympic Games. It is a 288 meter high telecommunications tower that dominates Barcelona and the Vallès Occidental. The top floor can be reached in less than 2 minutes; there is an observatory with a powerful telescope and a panoramic platform. At 560 meters above sea level, it is the highest observation point in the city. Those prone to vertigo should not go there!
