CASA DE LA CIUTAT
Building with a gothic patio and a superb baroque salon displaying a superb collection of sculptures
The Casa de la Ciutat, a neoclassical and gothic building that houses the town hall, stands imposingly in Plaça Sant Jaume. The 1847 facade, created by the artist Josep Bover, is a real architectural gem, with the Four Seasons Room, the main staircase and the Gothic patio among others. Don't forget to take a stroll through its alleys, which are full of treasures to discover, such as the works of artists like Gargallo, Llimona and Navarro Subirachs. Note that the Saló de Cent dates from the 14th century.
