The evocative name of this new Barcelona space (opening late October 2023) leaves no doubt as to the collection it houses: the Museum of Forbidden Art exhibits in a sumptuous palace some forty works that have in common the fact of having been censored, vandalized or simply withdrawn from exhibitions. These contemporary artworks (by Picasso, Abel Azcona, Andy Warhol, Ines Doujak and Robert Mapplethorpe, among others) question the political and moral place of art in our societies. An aesthetic and civic experience.
