An unfinished garden city, where you can stroll through the magical world of Gaudí... Take a pose on his famous bench in trencadís!

A true emblem of Barcelona, Parc Güell was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. This impressive garden, punctuated by various structures designed by Gaudí, was intended to receive a luxury urbanization. Indeed, Eusebi Güell, a man of great culture, had settled in an old building of the seventeenth century, located on Mount El Carmel, then known as the "peeling mountain". He imagined with Gaudí a garden city to populate this place where nature refused to proliferate. The project was finally abandoned, but Gaudí wanted to create a park on this 17-hectare site, in which architecture, inspired by the forms of nature, would accompany wonderful gardens. You will notice that the Park Güell is imbued with an extremely strong religious symbolism. Thus, the 60-meter difference in elevation allowed the artist to trace a spiritual path that would allow visitors to ascend to the chapel that would be located at the top. Finally, it is the sculpture of the Calvary that exists today at this location and offers a breathtaking view of the city. Several monuments accompany you during your walk. You will be greeted by the mosaic of the dragon and you can then join the hypostyle room, the garden of Austria, the place of nature or the portico of the washerwoman, all in harmony with the surrounding nature, whether in the colors of the mosaics or in the forms released from the imagination of the artist.

Visite du parc avec une enfant de 3 ans.
Nous avions acheté les billets avant et l'entrée s'est fait rapidement.
Il existe une application Android pour visiter le parc avec toutes les explications. Très sympa.
Notre fille a apprécié les couleurs.
Magnifique vue sur Barcelone.
Par contre, préférer tôt le matin quand il fait chaud en été.

Un chouette parc dans lequel il est possible de marcher plusieurs heures si on s'éloigne des œuvres de Gaudi. Petite astuce : il est possible de visiter la zone monumentale gratuitement (coût normal : 8€) avant 8h du matin ;) En effet, les "gardes" ne sont pas encore installés à cette heure-ci...

Le parc est plutôt sympa, on y retrouve une très belle vue sur Barcelone et de belles architectures. Toutefois, je trouve que la partie payante ressemble de plus en plus à une usine à fric. La zone est surpeuplé (malgré les réservations) et est relativement cher.

Un beau coin de nature avec en prime une vue epoustouflante sur la ville, une touche d'architecture Gaudi, des belles pierres, des belles fleurs, des artistes (peintres, musiciens...), des palmiers remplis de de perruches vertes gazouillant allègrement, bref un poumon dans la ville.
en hiver aucune possibilité de restauration, mais on trouve tout ce qu'il faut aux allentours.
l'entrée est gratuite (arriver par le côté) mais la terrasse et l'entrée côté dragon sont payants.

Superbe vue sur tout Barcelone ! Malheureusement, pour pouvoir s'assoir sur le fameux banc de mosaique immortalisé, e,tre autres, par le film "l'Auberge Espagnole", cela coute désormais un peu cher. Sinon vous pouvez vous balader gratuitement autour du lieu et profiter de la magnifique vue !
