HORCHATERÍA LA VALENCIANA
This century-old tea room was created in 1910 just a stone's throw from the gardens of the University of Barcelona. The Cortés, originally from Jijona - the cradle of the Spanish turrón - have been preserving the family tradition and know-how for four generations. In addition to turrón, the undisputed star of the Christmas holidays, the house is famous for its horchata, a sweet drink made from Tiger Nuts juice, a typical Valencian drink. It is usually drunk in summer, very fresh, accompanied by a few waxes, a kind of elongated brioche. Also good homemade ice cream.
