As evening falls on the Quai des Ferries, Place Vaiete and its 1,200 m² paved square fill up with restaurant vans serving a variety of specialities from 5.30pm. The illuminated square is always bustling with people, and a live band plays regularly. The heat and smell of the grills are an integral part of the picturesque setting. It's hard to choose between Chinese, Italian, French or purely Polynesian specialties, but you're sure to enjoy yourself!
