ISPF

The Institut de la statistique de la Polynésie française (ISPF), a public institution based in Papeete, collects and analyzes economic and social data to inform citizens and help decision-makers. Its scope and responsibilities are similar to those of a national statistics institute, encompassing the management of directories, information processing and dissemination of results. On the other hand, population censuses, which are carried out under government control, fall within the remit of INSEE, as the results have an impact on the organization and finances of Polynesian communes.
