It is the most expensive hotel in town, but it is above all a sumptuous palace with its marble lounges, the Ottoman decoration of its rooms, its superb hammam and its dream pool overlooking the Bosphorus. Built at the time of Sultan Abdülaziz (1861-1871), the Çirağan Palace served for a time as the imperial residence, before the Parliament moved in in 1908. After the building was ravaged by fire in 1910, the Kempinski chain restored it as one of the flagships of the international hotel industry. Have a drink on the terrace.
