Symbol of the Istanbul City Hall, the tulip is still a strong heritage of the Ottoman Empire because, contrary to popular belief, it does not originate from the Netherlands but comes from Anatolia. Every year, a festival pays tribute to him in many sites in the city: Gülhane Park, Yıldız Park and, the highlight of the show, Emirgan Park, where nearly two million tulips colour the landscape to the delight of visitors.
