MOSQUE NUSRETIYE CAMII (NUSRETIYE CAMII MOSQUE)
Its construction is entrusted by Mahmud II to the architect Kirkor Balyan, who finishes it in 1826. The building is one of the first examples of transition from Baroque to Empire style and features the characteristics of the two schools. A square prayer room is surmounted by a high central dome which is based on four arches. You can see small baroque turrets all around the dome. The retardataires of the retardataires is covered by three domes supported by four marble columns. The mosque has two fine fins minarets with two circular balconies each. The two public fountains and the fountain at the outside of the mosque are typical of Ottoman architecture.
