TEKFUR PALACE (PREFECT'S PALACE OR PALACE OF CONSTANTIN PORPHYROGENETE)
Built at the end of the th century at the end of the Muraille wall, it was probably an appendix to the Palais Palace of Ayvansaray. The building changes its name to the Ottoman times, to name the palace of Tekfur (nickname given to the beys of Anatolia or Roumélie of Christian origin). It serves as a workshop of ceramics, imperial menagerie, production of matches, before being ravaged by the fire of 1864 and abandoned. A true film scene, the magnificent wall wall is pierced with curved bays, with pale white and red marble claveaux. The restoration is under way.
