This is a cistern that dates back over 1,600 years. Indeed, it was built under Emperor Theodosius II between 428 and 443. Through the Bozdoğan aqueduct, it provided for the city's water needs. It was rediscovered in 2010. Today it has become a museum open to the public where you can watch light and music animations: a unique experience! Each visit lasts one hour, the last session is at 6pm. The museum has a small café.
