This passageway was designed in 1885 by a businessman from Aleppo in Syria. It housed the Péra circus at the rear, a theater and opera house, and specialized music stores. Even after numerous remodels and restorations, this theater remains today (Ferhan Şensoy Tiyatrosu): modern in appearance, it attracts above all a younger clientele. Cinemas in Beyoğlu and Péra. Due to its functions, this passage is very lively, especially in the evening.
