This pedestrian street, parallel to the Divan Yolu, is an alternative to reach the Grand Bazaar from Sultanahmet without going through the square Beyazıt The shops, mostly carpets, leather and jewellery, impress with their exuberance. Some of them look like real palaces welcoming successive groups of tourists. Don't think you'll find more calm than at the Grand Bazaar or different products. The system seems to be working well. You are being urged on all sides, right up to the Nuruosmaniye mosque.
