The very heart of Beyoğlu, Avenue de l'Indépendance (formerly Grand Rue de Péra) is one of the most famous streets in the city, known for its nostalgic tramway and above all its frenetic animation, both in terms of shops and nightlife. Thousands of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants follow one another on the avenue and adjacent streets. Those who know Barcelona and its Ramblas will not be out of place. The buildings date for the most part from the 19th century, we feel very far from Istanbul mosques, and very close to the great European capitals.

it is really the heart of Istanbul, a must, a lively street especially from 17:00, full of shops, cheap snacks, fine residences, and all the stanbouliotes are there, you could think you were in Barcelonne.C' is a very long street, more than a mile, to enjoy the atmosphere, you will not tire of any.
It is a street that is always lively, always dinamic. Special opportunity to discover all aspects of Istanbul. The point to meet the whole people. One of people all kinds. A good représentatrice of the city. And also, Rue d'Istiklal or as they say in Turkish Istiklal Caddesi, nostalgic and which contains a large number of historic buildings and nuns, when you walk along the street, you can see that a sortège monuments that represent different trend from architecture. The nostalgic tram, brown sellers, the musicians street, chocolate which is a speciality of this quarter, the cafés theme, they are symbolic of the street. Rue d'Istiklal is quite wonderful night.
