MURADIYE KÜLLIYESI
This complex of religious buildings built in 1424, during the time of Sultan Murat II, houses the Muradiye Mosque (1426) decorated with turquoise-blue earthenware that imitates the style of the Green Mosque (Yeşil Camii). Next door, in a vast garden planted with cypresses and roses, the cemetery gathers twelve 15th and 16th century tombs of Murat II and his family and some imperial princes (Şehzade). Sultan Cem's grave is worth a look. Adjacent, the Muradiye Madrasa, a former 15th century Koranic school, now serves as a medical centre.
