ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM (ARKEOLOJI MÜZESI)

Housed in the buildings surrounding the Sahip Ata Mosque (1283), the Archaeological Museum presents an interesting collection covering various periods over different millennia. Of particular interest are the sections and objects from the excavations at Çatal Höyük, one of the largest Neolithic sites in the region, the Roman sarcophagi and the beautiful carved bas-relief depicting the twelve labors of Hercules.
