Reflecting the Neolithic period, it is one of the first installations realized by men who became sedentary, preceding the regions of Egypt and Mesopotamia. The paintings and painted reliefs are exceptionally well preserved. In front of the desert landscape, one can imagine the daily life of prehistoric men who lived in houses to which they had access through the roof. Çatal Höyük has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2012.
