Built during the last period of the Anatolian Seljuks, this religious school, also called Taş madrasa ("stone Koranic school"), was first conceived as a Seljuk caravanserai. Then, in 1301, the building was transformed into a school by the Hamidid bey Felekeddin Dündar, where 30 rooms around the patio accommodated students. Today it is a small bazaar with stores and friendly craftsmen who sell everything and sometimes anything!
