Built in the 4th century BC, the citadel was renovated several times during the Roman and Byzantine periods. The outer ramparts have almost disappeared, and only the core of the building dating back to the5th century is still standing. It was badly damaged during the incursion into Anatolia of the Mongol emperor Tamerlane around 1400. With its unstoppable view, the fortress offers a beautiful panorama of Lake Eğirdir and the surrounding mountains. It is a very good spot to admire the landscape.

Gratuit.
