South of Clermont, this golf course is the latest addition to the Auvergne family. Run with a smile by a friendly team, it features an eighteen-hole compact course, a covered and floodlit driving range, a pro-shop and a restaurant open to all. The fast, technical and pleasant course runs alongside the river Auzon. Unlike most golf courses, which are particularly water-hungry and unconcerned about the environment, this one stands out for its self-sufficiency in terms of water requirements. It uses equipment with lowCO2 emissions.

De vacances en Auvergne, je souhaitais taper quelques balles au practice du golf du Val d’Auzon. A ma grande surprise, on m’a demandé de m’acquiter d’un accès au practice (trois euros) avant de pouvoir acheter des jetons. Je trouve cela un peu gonflé. En tous les cas, je n’ai jamais, en 12 ans de golf, été obligé de payer un accès au practice. Il faudra sans doute bientôt payer le parking. J’adore ce sport et je croyais que l’on voulait qu’il se démocratise...
