We take our seats in a room that exudes the mountain atmosphere of our grandparents' homes. The wooden tables are covered with gingham-checked tablecloths, and a Comtoise clock and brass decorate the walls. The à la carte menu features local specialties: soup of the day with cantal tartine au gratin, Auvergne tripoux, Auvergne Charolais flank steak with shallot sauce and, of course, truffade.
