We take our seats in a room that exudes the mountain atmosphere of our grandparents' homes. The wooden tables are covered with gingham-checked tablecloths, and a Comtoise clock and brass decorate the walls. The à la carte menu features local specialties: soup of the day with cantal tartine au gratin, Auvergne tripoux, Auvergne Charolais flank steak with shallot sauce and, of course, truffade. The blueberry tart rounds off the meal in style. In this quintessential family restaurant, the special of the day can be served in child-friendly portions.
