FATIH MOSQUE
Religious building

It is an ancient Byzantine church of the 9th century, originally an Orthodox sanctuary, which was transformed into a mosque after 1460. The building, which bears the names of both identities, Church Mosque (Kilise Camii), is located within the citadel of Amasra. It is not particularly beautiful or majestic but it is worth a visit if you are passing through the city. It is one of the heritage vestiges of the city of Amasra which does not have many as other cities can do. Mosque open to the visit.
