There was a nice photographic exhibition on the walls, which (from up-to-date pictures) I can see are still there now, a year later. Not sure if that's good or bad.
Immigration, customs and boarding procedure were not that good; queues were long and disorganized.
It's a very bad policy that you cannot use any of their own currency in the airport, which means that only euros and US dollars can be used. Madagascan currency cannot be changed to your currency, so be sure to do this outside. There was a 'hut' nearby that did this.
Not the worst international airport I've been through, but the signs are there!
