This superb walk will take you to the summit of the highest point of the Combrailles: the Roche Sauterre, at an altitude of 977 metres. This natural viewpoint is marked by an orientation table which will help you to identify the remarkable points in this ocean of hills. From here, the puys chain, the Sancy massif and the Combrailles as far as the eye can see unfold before you. Sauterre is the remains of a basalt flow formed during a volcanic eruption. A 4.5 km hiking trail leads to the summit. Departure from Manzat, place called Sauterre.
