Located 10 minutes from the airport, on the edge of the lagoon, with 4 comfortable homes set in a 1-hectare estate.

In a wild setting, 10 minutes from the airport and on the edge of the lagoon, four comfortable houses perfectly integrated in a one-hectare estate. Pandanus, Badamier, Hibiscus, Coast Shelter; all are sober, clean and functional. Electricity is provided by solar and wind energy, while running water is drinkable. There is plenty to do in this small wild corner: discovering the coral reef by canoe, personalised excursions, scuba diving, or even whale watching. The place is particularly adapted to the practice of kitesurfing; with good hearing....

Formidable.

We are a family with 3 children. We have to rent in late July 2016 Villa Badamier 1 week.
Excellent reception of Philip the owner. first contact by e-mail on the last day, it is always present advice to help us in the organization of our holidays. It is a real asset in this rental.
The advantage is the rental of villa with chef (Ernest). It does the shopping and meal for you, it is a delight for the palate at very low prices. Philippe brings fresh bread in the morning. From a real holiday as to the hotel (no cleaning, no cuisine).
Beautiful site, well maintained, the villas are spacious, at the waterfront. The entire staff is nice and ready. Possibility of massage facing the sea.
The village is nearby 1km on foot, but to repair small grocery store at 500m. The east coast is exotic, more traditional and wild, quieter. The inhabitants are smiling. No insecurity is felt. Beautiful walk to do on foot.
Do not hesitate, we recommend.

Accommodation:

The Pepper houses Vanilla, well equipped, offers all the necessary comfort. These guest houses are ideal for a family with a budget including ours.
For the cuisine, you can take the Pepper vanilla chef who takes care then the races and delivers delicious meal made with fresh ingredients.

Activities:

The owner is very available. It tells you about the activities: fishing, voyage, diving, excursions. It provides information on car rentals. Most practical being the scooter.

The atmosphere in Pepper Vanilla:

Our 6 year old rather apprehensive child widely felt very at ease in the Pepper Vanilla environment where many always smiling staff are attentive.
It was always surrounded children, that they are those of the guard at the property, other residents or the small nephews and nieces of the owner's wife.
The lagoon is little danger: water to the waist. The innkeeper provides palms/mask and snorkel.

Period of the year:

In July- August is the period of winter therefore we had not bad rains but they are short and sometimes even under the sun. The temperature is ideal (between 22 and 24 ° C).
There is little wind but we will not complain because that limits mosquitoes considerably.

Pepper Vanilla it is above all Philippe and Géraldine.Chaleur hospitality. It is truly " bichonnés". Comfortable and spacious house in the water. Add to this the heavenly beauty of the island. On request only return. Unforgettable.

Pepper Vanilla...

Difficult to express the atmosphere that accompanies this little corner of paradise.
This is in all simplicity and in no way totally involved what we lived:

Before leaving, on the Internet, Philippe Ellé is present and answers questions our in a constructive way. Booking is made, a deposit of 30% is poured.

Arrival Sainte Marie, Philippe awaits us on the pier with a small panel. the welcome is warm. Baggage charge immediately, we eat together at a local restaurant nearby. it is an opportunity to discover the island and refine the organisation of your stay. We decide to go shopping before reaching our residence located 20 minutes (road + track).

Arrival Pepper Vanilla, friendly welcome, lots of kindness. In the property is a soft water reserve, which hassles me a little and the presence of mosquitoes. Philippe will tell me later that of Tilapias (very fond of fish of larvae of mosquitoes) were introduced. The house that we are is simple, clean and functional, Josiane deals with cleaning. The power supply is in 24V, running water is drinkable and comes from a that Philippe, old ONG created (he knows his business), there is hot water and the kitchen is equipped with a very good fridge-freezer with gas. No mosquito to speak of. various services are offered like massages (6€/h) or it cuisine by Ernest (€12/day) not miss. These services are charged by Philippe. Geraldine his wife is Ste Marienne, smiling and very friendly, he directed very good jams and factory of the oil of Bankouly to the healing properties anti-stress stinging and reconstructing for the hair.
A variable but decent weather accompanies our stay, the time we go there are real moments of happiness with a cuisine worthy of a michelin-starred chef. Thank you still Ernest.

Kite surfing: experienced practicing, I had also much pleasure to sail daily with a wind from 12 to 18 knots (2 days South, 1 day Is). Pepper Vanilla is by the sea, the beach is small at high tide but you can easily take off from the lake, the property is facing a huge navigable lagoon where you often depth (slippers recommended), with half is a first coral reef, approximately 500m further is the second barrier, between the 2 ranges a wide very welcoming pass by the swell of South in East can enter. The waves are beautiful and well organised. The first barrier can easily be crossed in kitesurfing, however at low tide. By winds South, it is also possible to make a superb descent from the ile aux nattes...

Departure, the negative point, you will quickly!
The bill is presented to us, no surprise.
For the return, we took the opportunity to extend the day stay initially planned, risk because we had to be absolutely on the Tamatave 25/07 in the evening. For our departure, no boats for crossing, nevermind, Philippe knows a plan B, it accompanies us and manages the location but adventure, boat, 4x4, canoeing and bush-taxis we will allow you to arrive in time through beautiful landscapes.
