This cemetery houses the graves of the buccaneers, privateers, pirates, traffickers and slave traders who ended their days on this island. The headstones are often surmounted by a skull and two crossed tibias. Here, a captain seems to have been buried upright, while there, a sailor has had an unusual epitaph carved by his best friend... While the panorama from the hill is lovely, the site itself is not maintained. Right next to the cemetery, you can enjoy a drink or lunch at the Jardins d'Eden.

FORGERIES they are not the tombs of pirates, freebooters or other but it is the tombs of the first crosse!
interesting site. Let yourself imagine the life of the time of pirates, and you begin to think that it could be the tombs of the famous plan of the treasure La Buse is hidden. For the guides, it is about Ar10000 consider the communal tax + Ar2000 canoeing if you must cross in high tide - it is a little expensive - otherwise you can walk there in low tide - I as discovered as a small hotel/restaurant " Les Jardins d'Eden " will open on this site in decembre2010 and run by the owners of the " Rebelle" refuge; (which was an additional accommodation). For those who knew Refuge, you will see that the view of this new establishment is just as beautiful (panoramic), the bungalows mix with the treetops (sometimes centuries-old), and the crossed cuisine will be, I think both tasty. For those who did not know, I can send the contact details.
Le point de vue est également joli.
La promenade est courte ce qui permet de faire un petit tour pour finir la journée.
