Created in 1938, in the magnificent setting of the Roman amphitheatre, this was one of the very first European film festivals.
By cinephiles' own admission, this festival, created in 1938, is a must-see. It's not until nightfall that the open-air screenings (shorts, dramas, national and international selections) finally begin. In the impressive setting of the Roman amphitheatre, it's a great spectacle in itself. In October, another cinematic event in Pula, the International Pula Sound & Film Music Festival, is dedicated to film soundtracks (screenings, concerts, meetings at the Hotel Park Plaza Histra).
