The historic Kvarner Hotel has a number of outbuildings (Villa Amalia) where rooms of lower standard and price have been set up.
Here we are in the outbuildings of the Hotel Kvarner, built in 1890 to accommodate the royal and imperial families of Austria-Hungary, Germany and Romania. Set back from the Lungomare, bordered by an exotic Mediterranean park where Isadora Duncan loved to stroll, the Villa Amalia-Liburnia is a highly elegant building. The rooms, of a lower standard than those of its illustrious neighbor, are spacious and bright, with the comforts of a 4-star hotel, a balcony and, for the most part, sea views. Free access to the Kvarner's outdoor swimming pool.
