MARASOVIĆ HAMLET
The building has been transformed into a small eco-museum with a collection of standing stones preserving the memory of the shepherds who died at altitude.
On the road to the national park, this ancient hamlet is listed as a Croatian cultural heritage site. The inhabitants, who have restored some of the houses, offer visitors the chance to visit a small eco-museum. With its collection of objects, tools and furniture from the pastoral era (17th-20th centuries), it recounts the life of shepherds at altitude. Standing stones, found at Mirila, were used in a funeral cult for these mountain dwellers. The Taverne-Konoba Marasović's large terrace is a very pleasant place to rest and eat after the canyon route!
