SALUTE TO THE SUN (POZDRAV SUNCU)
Work echoing the Marine Organs, at sunset. Photovoltaic cells allow to illuminate the sphere on the ground.
Echoing the Orgues marines, Salut au Soleil is the work of the same architect, Nikola Bašić, installed in 2008 on the Riva promenade. A large sphere on the ground, made of 300 glass panels, represents the sun. Alongside it are smaller spheres symbolizing the planets of the solar system. The whole thing lights up at dusk, thanks to photovoltaic cells that have accumulated daylight, producing a fascinating spectacle.
