MUSEUM OF OLD GLASS (MUZEJ ANTIČKOG STAKLA)
Museum exhibiting a collection of utilitarian glassware dating from the 2nd century, during the Roman occupation of Dalmatia.
Archaeological excavations around Zadar have uncovered an exceptional collection of utilitarian glassware, which was protected in funeral jars. In an excellent state of preservation, these everyday objects (pots, vases, vials, drinking glasses, cups, etc.), yet so fine, so fragile, are partially returned to us. Produced in the 2nd century during the Roman occupation of Dalmatia, this unique ensemble is enhanced by contemporary museography.
