Housed in a former desecrated church dating from the 12th century, the International Center for Underwater Archaeology offers a fine overview of the archaeological heritage of the Adriatic Sea. Two specialized galleries explain the progress of excavations and research, particularly on ancient sites. The permanent exhibitions are highly educational and accessible to all. The center also organizes conferences and educational workshops to raise public awareness of the need to protect the seabed.
