VELI RAT LIGHTHOUSE
Lighthouse of 40 m height dominating the meadow and the sea, one of the most beautiful of the Adriatic. Diving spot on the east side.
Built in 1849 on the island's north-western cape, this lighthouse is one of the most beautiful on the Adriatic. The road to the lighthouse leads through the pine forest, bordered by pretty beaches and coves. At 40 m high, the lighthouse dominates the meadow and the sea. On the west side, the archipelago is surrounded by rocks (Laganići), where a shipwreck lies. In front of the lighthouse, a chapel hides beneath a century-old pine tree. The lighthouse keeper lives here with his family, but you can rent two apartments with double or triple rooms, kitchen and bathroom.
Diving spot to the east of the lighthouse and campsite with sea view.
