OFFICE DE TOURIME RÉGION ŠIBENIK-KNIN

This is one of the most interesting regions in Croatia. Situated between Split and Zadar in Dalmatia, it is surrounded by the Dinaric mountains to the east and the coast stretching from Pirovac in the west to Razanj in the south, with over 200 small and large islands and reefs.

Both the hinterland and the coast are simply breathtaking. Its crystal-clear waters, islands, authentic villages and numerous relics are just some of the many beauties of the Sibenik Riviera. But what makes this region a must-see are its 2 national parks, two pearls of nature, the Kornati National Park with its 89 beautiful islands and reefs, and the Krka National Park with the Krka River, where its 72 km course winds through tight canyons towards the Adriatic Sea, leaving behind fabulous cascades, waterfalls and lakes.

You'll need to spend at least 4 days in the region to have enough time to visit the Kornati, the KRKA waterfalls and take a dip, the enchanting medieval city of Sibenik, its historic center, citadel and channel, and admire the fortress of Saint Nicolas.
And don't miss a visit to Primosten, and the surrounding villages of Vodice, Murter and Bettina. Don't go there just to take the boat to the Kornati. The beaches are magnificent.
