National park that follows the course of the Krka River with a lookout point, beautiful waterfalls, an ancient site and two monasteries.

The park owes its richness to the 72 km-long Krka River, fed by the Čikola tributary. This powerful watercourse has carved out a veritable canyon, with a succession of waterfalls and a multitude of small lakes. It literally waters the hinterland before flowing into the sea at Šibenik via the Sv. Ante canal.

Seven large waterfalls can be found on the way down the river. Valuable for the diversity of its species, the ornithological site is one of the richest in Europe. Ecological infrastructures had to be built to accommodate the crowds, with railings and terraces to contemplate the largest falls, and wooden footbridges for exploring on foot.

Whatto see/do : the Roški slap and Skradinski buk tour. This easy 2.5 km route is very popular; the ancient site of Burnum (a rare example of Roman military installations), the medieval fortress Ključica, the Franciscan monastery (Visovac islet), the monastery of the Krka Orthodox community, the caves (Oziđana pećina), the ecomuseums around the mills, the waterfalls, Bilušića buk and Manojlovački slap.

The official office of the park, listed since 1985, is in Skradin. In this river tourist resort, you can organize your visit to the various natural sites. There are several options for visitors, whether by bus, boat, bike, car, motorcycle or on foot. Cafés, snack bars and restaurants can be found in various locations.
