Medieval fortress on a rock in the canyon at Omis, accessible only by foot along a difficult rocky path.
To the east of Mirabela, on a rocky outcrop in the canyon, another medieval fortress completed Omiš's defensive system. The 360-degree view takes in the whole town and its surroundings. It's a well-deserved visit, as it's reached on foot via a difficult rocky path. Allow around an hour for a 1 km climb with a 500 m gradient. Plan to leave early in the morning or late in the afternoon. A combined entrance ticket also gives access to the theater and the arsenal.
