NOTRE-DAME-DU-CARMEL CHURCH
Parish church in Bol with magnificent stonework typical of master builders of the island.
The parish church was built in several phases. Begun in 1668 at the behest of patrician patrons (the Vužic and Andreis families), it was not completed until 1788, thanks to donations from wealthy Bol residents. Sober and elegant, with its side bell tower, façade rose and small openings, it features magnificent stonework typical of the island's master builders. Note the beautiful sun frame on the outside wall, on the south side.
