MOUNT VIDOVA GORA
Mount Vidova Gora 778 m in karst ridge in Bol with a view of the whole island, the beach of Zlatni and the archipelago of Split.
The highest point of the Adriatic islands, Mount Vidova Gora reaches 778 m. Its name Vidova gora means the mountain of Guy. Its geological formation as a karst ridge offers various slopes. To the south, the cliffs look down on the town of Bol and fall steeply into the sea, while the slopes to the north descend gently to a high plateau. On a clear day, the view is over the whole island, the beach of Zlatni Rat and the archipelago of Split. The town below is called Knežeravni, which is dominated by uninhabited rocky terrain, where only scrub and pine trees grow.
