GALERIJA IVAN RENDIĆ
In the old village, after the St. Martin's Church, you come to a square where the library is located. On the second floor, a room preserves the memory of the sculptor Ivan Rendić, a contemporary of the master Ivan Meštrović. Born in 1849 in Imotski, Rendić lived his youth in Brač. After artistic studies in Italy and trips to Zagreb, Trieste and Rijeka, he returned to Supetar. Here the town exhibits some busts, preparatory drawings for the mausoleum of the Petrinović family (municipal cemetery). In the garden, the statue of the Allegory of Pure Reason.
